Severe Traffic To Anyer-Carita Beach, Banten Police Implement One Way
SERANG - Banten Police have prepared a number of traffic control schemes that are implemented towards the Anyer-Carita Beach tourist area during the Eid holiday.
Banten Police Chief Inspector General Abdul Karim said that reflecting on the long holiday moments during Eid al-Fitr, the scheme implemented at that time would also be implemented on this year's Eid holiday.
"We are preparing a one way on the southern ring road (JLS) to go to Anyer, which has also been implemented since last year in the event of a buildup of vehicles heading to tourism and vice versa," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, April 12.
In addition, the police have also prepared a scenario for alternative routes from Jakarta to Anyer via East Serang or exiting the East Serang Toll Road, which will be directed through Jalan Pal Lima, Paburan, and Padarincang.
"This will be an alternative route if, for example, there is a buildup in East Cilegon. Because specifically for tourist routes so far, they have left East Cilegon to JLS, then we have an alternative scenario," he said.
For the number of personnel securing Anyer and Carita tours, his party ensures that they have been prepared separately and do not interfere with the backflow.
"We have prepared separately, it does not interfere with the backflow. We involve 300 personnel from the Pandeglang Police and the Banten Police, and 300 Polairs are deployed at every tourist spot," he said.
Previously, the Head of the Banten Provincial Tourism Office, Al Hamidi, targeted around 2 million more tourist visits to Banten during the Eid al-Fitr holiday and collective leave.
The target is based on the number of tourist visits in 2023 which will reach 2 million visits.
"The prediction of tourist visits is hopefully more this year, last year it was 2 million," he said.
