Jimly Invites All Parties To Move On After The Election

JAKARTA - Former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Jimly Asshiddiqie invites all parties to move on or move away from the atmosphere of the 2024 General Election.

"It's okay, how to reduce and restore trust from one another," said Jimly as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 10.

Jimly hopes that all parties can embrace each other and not continue to be tense. Moreover, the 2024 Eid moment can be used to relieve the tensions that have occurred so far.

"Hopefully the momentum is good, this is not final yet, we are waiting for the Constitutional Court's decision," he said.

He also asked all parties to accept the Constitutional Court's decision regarding disputes over the results of the general election (PHPU) or the 2024 election dispute which is currently underway.

"Whatever the decision is because the debate is pros and cons with all the evidence. Later when the Constitutional Court makes a decision, I hope we all accept it," said Jimly.

For information, the Constitutional Court opened the stages of submitting conclusions in the handling of the 2024 PHPUPilpres case after the end of the trial stages of the case.

"We, the panel of judges, agree that there are things that still want to be submitted even though this is the last trial, can be accommodated through conclusions," said Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo at the end of the follow-up trial of the 2024 presidential election PHPU case, Friday (5/4).

Suhartoyo said that the stages of submitting conclusions in the previous 2024 presidential election PHPU trial were not mandatory. However, in the 2024 presidential election PHPU case, there are many dynamics that are different from before so that the Constitutional Court accommodates the delivery of crucial matters and submission of files that are still lagging behind through these stages.
