Jepara-Karimunjawa Ferry Operates During Eid Holiday
The passenger motorboat serving the crossing from Jepara Port, Central Java, to Karimunjawa Island, Karimunjawa District, Jepara Regency, continues to operate in welcoming the 2024 Eid backflow, including during the Eid holiday.
"According to schedule, during the Lebaran holiday, the ferry from Jepara to Karimunjawa will continue to operate," said Head of Sea Transportation Division of the Jepara Regency Transportation Agency, Nur Sahid, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 10.
In fact, he said, the Express Bahari Fast Motor Ship (KMC) on Wednesday (10/4) will continue to operate with a scheduled departure from Jepara Port at 11.00 WIB, while from Karimunjawa Port on the same day departs at 11.00 WIB.
The following day, namely Thursday (11/4) also continues to operate with a departure schedule from Jepara Port at 10.00 WIB and at 13.00 WIB. The same schedule is also for departures from Karimunjawa Port at 10.00 WIB and at 13.00 WIB.
Meanwhile, for the Passenger Motorboat (KMP) Siginjai, for Wednesday (10/4) and Thursday (11/4) Eid holidays. Meanwhile, Friday (12/4) is back in operation.
For the scheduled departure from Jepara Port at 06.30 WIB, while from Karimunjawa Port at 13.30 WIB.
The following day, namely Saturday (13/4) departed from Jepara at 07.00 WIB, while from Karimunjawa departed Sunday (14/4) at 09.00 WIB.
The next departure schedule, sea transportation, as previously operated normally as before.
The departure of the passenger ship is still waiting for information on the forecast for wave heights at sea, when it is safe to operate, on the other hand, when high waves occur, it must prioritize passenger safety.
High waves usually occur during the western season that occurs between December, January and February. Meanwhile, based on weather forecasts from the BMKG, the wave height in the waters of the Jepara Sea is currently around 0-0.5 meters.
Meanwhile, to meet the needs during the Lebaran holiday, ferry transportation from the previous one trip to two trips per day with three ships operating, namely Siginjai with a passenger capacity of 202 people, an 8f Express Bahari ship with a passenger capacity of 390 people, and a 1C Express Bahari ship with a passenger capacity of 349 people.
