Jasa Marga Records 1.2 Million Vehicles Leaving Jabotabek
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) recorded 1,233,793 vehicles leaving the Jabotabek area on D-7 to D-2 Eid Al-Fitr 1445H or on Wednesday to Monday 8 April.
The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 51.48 percent compared to normal traffic from 814,473 vehicles. When compared to the Lebaran 2023 period, the total volume of this traffic was 2.16 percent higher than 1,207,698 vehicles.
Senior Manager Representative Office of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Amri Sanusi said, this figure is the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Barrier / Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (direction to Merak), Ciawi GT (direction to Puncak), and Cikampek Utama GT (direction to Trans Java) and Kalihurip Utama GT (direction to Bandung).
He added that for the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek towards the three directions, the majority were 725,017 vehicles or 58.76 percent headed East (Trans Java and Bandung), 306,573 vehicles headed West (Merak), and 202,203 vehicles headed South (Puncak).

Jasa Marga, he said, also appealed to people who are still traveling via toll roads to ensure travel readiness, including ensuring that drivers and vehicles are in prime condition and roadworthy, preparing supplies, ensuring sufficient fuel and electronic money balances.
"Avoid travel at the predicted time at the peak of backflow and avoid traveling at favorite times, namely at night," Amri said in a statement to the media, Tuesday, April 9.
Amri also asked the toll road users to use the time wisely by not lingering in the rest area so that they can alternate with other road users.
