The Surge In Vehicle Traffic In JTTS Increases Significantly Approaching Eid Day
JAKARTA - Until D-1 Lebaran or Tuesday, April 9, 2024, there was a significant increase in vehicle traffic on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) which reflected high mobility and travel activities during the Lebaran Homecoming flow.
PT Hutama Karya (Persero) noted that the Traffic Volume (VLL) at JTTS in the period 6-9 April 2024 reached a total of 415,451 vehicles, an increase of about 52 percent compared to normal volume. This was revealed by EVP of the Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya, Adjib Al Hakim, in an official statement received in Bogor on Tuesday.
The details of this increase include the number of vehicles crossing various toll roads, with astonishing numbers. For example, the Terbanggi Besar - Kayu Agung (Terpeka) Toll Road has increased by 87 percent from the normal volume, reaching 97,689 vehicles. Likewise with the Palembang - Prabumulih (Palindra & Inprabu) Toll Road which recorded 75,580 vehicles, an increase of 59 percent from its normal volume.
The Indrapura - Fifty (Inkis) toll road recorded the most significant increase, with an increase of 67 percent of the normal volume, reaching 52,922 vehicles.

In addition, additional functional toll roads also experienced a marked increase in traffic. The Bangkinang - XIII Koto Kampar toll road recorded 10,872 vehicles, while the Indrapura - Kisaran Section Lima Puluh - Kisaran toll road reached 24,498 vehicles during the period 4-9 April 2024.
In the context of this increase, Hutama Karya reminded toll road users to always check the condition of the vehicle before traveling, ensure it is prime, and avoid driving in sleepy condition. It is also recommended to rest if you feel sleepy, and ensure that the Electronic Money Card (e-money) is in good condition and has sufficient balance before traveling.
The surge in vehicle traffic that occurs near Lebaran day confirms the high mobility of people who are traveling home or on vacation. Hutama Karya is preparing to manage this high traffic flow for the convenience and safety of toll road users.
