Vietnamese Evidence Fishing Boat Suspected Of Being Sold Secured In Semarang

JAKARTA - A ship was reportedly confiscated and secured in Semarang. This ship was confiscated because it did not have legality documents for the activities or goods loaded.

A source said this ship was confiscated by the state, which was allegedly sold. This ship is a Vietnamese fishing boat. This ship was confiscated by the state for fishing illegally in Indonesian territory and had been cut off by the court.

Based on the court's decision, this ship must be destroyed. However, it is suspected that this ship was sold by unscrupulous prosecutors. This ship sale case is said to have occurred in 2020.

Confirmed about the existence of a ship that was secured in Semarang, Kajati Kepri Hari Setiyono admitted that he had not received this news. It's just that his party will check the veracity of the ship.

"Thank you for the information, we will immediately track it down," said Hari in a short message, Thursday, March 4.

Because, he said, based on reports this ship had been destroyed. "It has been destroyed 24 July 2020," said Hari.

According to Hari, this is an old issue or before he became Kajati Kepri. However, he said, based on reports from the team, the team concluded that the news was not true.

"That is old news in October 2020 and an examination by the Supervisory Team from the Kepri Prosecutor's Office has concluded that the news is not true," said Hari.

Previously, the Batam Prosecutor's Office, Samuel Pangaribuan, denied the sale of evidence in the form of ships by unscrupulous prosecutors.

He said, the Batam Prosecutor's Office had implemented the decision of the Tanjungpinang District Court (PN) panel of judges regarding the illegal fishing case by destroying the KM PAF 4837 ship.

He said, this Vietnamese fishing boat was destroyed by burning and drowning in June 2020 in the waters of Tanjungbalai Karimun.

"We destroyed the ship the day after it was towed," said Samuel some time ago.
