PDIP Is Serious About Looking For A Challenger Bobby Nasution In The North Sumatra Gubernatorial Election, Please Register For Those Who Are Interested
Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto ensured that his party would not carry Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution in the North Sumatra Pilgub. President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) son-in-law is considered to have a different political path.
For information, Bobby was previously a PDI-P cadre (PDIP). He even ran as Mayor of Medan through the party bearing the bull symbol.
Later he was declared ineligible as a PDIP cadre. You see, he violated the code of ethics regarding the support for the 2024 presidential election because he openly declared the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair.
"Yes, of course (it is certain that it will not carry Bobby, ed). Because the political line is different," Hasto told reporters quoted Monday, April 8.
Hasto said that his party would carry out mapping in an effort to find Bobby's challenger. The best candidate will be chosen because the people in North Sumatra are very critical.
"They are the people of North Sumatra, they are very egalitarian. So, only with the support of power it is not a guarantee," he said.
In fact, PDIP will in the future conduct a selection from below to find the right person. "For those who are interested in becoming governors or deputy governors of the PDI-P, please register both at the North Sumatra PDI-P DPD Office and to the Party DPP," said Hasto.
"The registration process is still ongoing," continued the former member of the DPR RI.
