Ni Kadek Hires Thugs To Seize Men's Cars In Bali Who Do Not Pay Rp.300 Million For Social Gathering
DENPASAR - The Bali Police arrested four thugs who were involved in extortion. This thug is someone's rent.
The perpetrators were named I Putu Wira Sanjaya (28) Bagus Made Putra Pardana (29) I Made Ary Santa Dwipayana (28) and I Gede Wira Guna (26). In addition, the one who ordered the thugs was arrested, namely Ni Kadek Okta Riani (30).
The incident began when a man with the initials M in Bali was unable to pay an arisan worth Rp. 300 million. The thugs stole their car.
"He took a car as collateral for debt repayment and threatened to pay Rp. 5 million in debt bills," said Dirreskrimum of the Bali Police, Kombes Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro, Thursday, March 4.
He explained that M's arisan friend or victim named Ni Kadek Okta Riani paid the thugs to collect the arisan money.
This case of seizure occurred on Wednesday, March 10 at around 8:00 p.m. local time at the victim's house which is located on Jalan Muding, North Kerobokan, Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali.
At that time, the neighbor suddenly called the victim who was not home. Neighbors told the victim that his Honda CRV car was forcibly taken by 4 thugs. However, none of the neighbors dared to prevent this action.
The victim then reported to the police until the police finally arrested the thugs at their respective homes, Tuesday, March 2. The police also arrested Okta Riani.
"It is true that the reported party and his colleagues admitted to taking the DK 693 KN color CRV car using a fake key from the witness," he added.
Kombes Rahardjo emphasized that residents can report to the police if they are threatened by thugs. He also threatened to shoot the thugs if they disturbed the security of the residents.
"We do not hesitate to take firm, measured actions when thuggery practices occur in Bali. There is not even an inch for thuggery on the Island of the Gods," said Kombes Rahardjo.
The perpetrators were charged under Article 336 of the Criminal Code with the threat of imprisonment of 5 years.
