Enjoying Jesse McCartney's Latest EP, The More Soulful All's Well
JAKARTA - Jesse McCartney enjoyed his independent music career by releasing his latest EP titled 'All's Well', as a free expression and voice against the status quo. The EP consists of five tracks driven by Jesse's vocal color which has been a characteristic, but this time it sounds more mature and soulful.
Classical pop music styles in the 70s were like Hall and Oates combined with postmodern musical styles presented throughout its newest EP. The first single from EP, Faux Fur, which was co-produced by Morgan Taylor Reid and Andrew Dixon, is a real example of Jesse's growing up as a musician and can be juxtaposed with retro R&B songs from DeBarge and also Bruno Mars.
Nuance in the song "Faux Fur" which later evolved into a gentle and captivating quiver is an overview of the entire EP. Jesse teamed up with producer Morgan Taylor Reid who had collaborated with Backstreet Boys for three songs at EP All's Well.
The initial sketches of these songs were then taken to a higher level by maximizing the elements that colored the songs ranging from wind, guitar, to synth instruments. Everything can be realized thanks to the live band format they chose.
For me, trying to push this kind of method can be a big breakthrough for my musical style that people know so far. In addition, the presence of a live band in the recording process can determine the atmosphere or the big theme musically in this EP project. The nuances of music in the 1970s in the All''s Well will certainly inspire all listeners when juxtaposed with Jesse's clever liqueism.
There is no better song to reflect this EP than the song 'Make a Baby'. Produced by the trio of The Elev3n which has collaborated with Meghan Trainor and Sean Kingston, Make a Baby is a song that combines the 2000s-style R&B music production style in the Timbaland style and today's generation of modern pop/R&B music. Jesse's most tempting side can be clearly heard on Make A Baby where rapper Yung Gravey was also presented to open this song and contributed his own verse.
With two singles already released and its newest EP All''s Well which will be released next month, Jesse McCartney fans can look forward to sexy, funny, and romantic songs. The themes about a person's mental health and emotional space will also be present, all of which include McCartney's evolution as a musician.
