This Used Toyota Century Luxury Car Only Sold For Less Than IDR 110 Million

JAKARTA - Introduced for the first time in 1967, Toyota Century was presented as a vehicle for the upper class, especially the conglomerate or kingdom class.

Because this car is positioned on top of all Toyota models, this limousine car is priced at exorbitant prices. However, one unit of the first generation of Century sold for cheap at online auctions.

Launching its auction site, Bring A Trailer, Friday, April 5, this VG40-coded model has sold out in the US for only US$6,900 or equivalent to Rp109.5 million. It is said that the car was imported from Japan to the US under previous ownership

When viewed from the exterior, the 1988 Toyota Century looks very well maintained. Imperial Maroon Mica color paint looks still preserved with several components in good condition.

In the legs, the original rim with the gold 'Phoenix' logo is still maintained with Michelin tires. The seller noted that the rear damping component had been replaced in 2023.

Meanwhile, the inside is covered in luxurious maroon skin and there is a wood fiber trim in the cabin. The luxurious impression is getting thicker with the presence of red carpeted floor mats, power windows, digital clocks, automatic temperature controllers, and stereo cassettes.

In addition, the steering wheel of two bars on the right side is still maintained with a digital speedometer, a tachyon, and additional bar-style gauge. The odometer shows a figure of about 35,000 km.

This Toyota Century is equipped with a 4.0 liter 5V-EU V8 engine with electronic fuel injection which can produce 187 dk of power and 322 Nm of torque. The performance is combined with the transmission of four automatic accelerations moving all wheels.
