Chinese Startup Introduces Electric Vehicle Battery Cells With High Energy Density, Reach Could Be 2,000 Kilometers
JAKARTA - A solid state battery startup from China, Talent New Energy, introduces new battery cells with very high energy density.
Citing CNevpost, Friday, April 5, Talent has successfully developed a prototype of the world's first lithium solid state metal battery, with a single cell capacity of 120 Ah and an energy density of 720 Cities/kg.

In comparison, the latest semi solid state battery from Nio 150 kWh uses cells from Beijing WeLion New Energy Technology, with a density capacity of 360mas/kg. This Nio battery will begin to be used in the second quarter by promising a range of more than 1,000 kilometers in just one charge.
Meanwhile, the new battery from Talent has twice the energy density compared to WeLion, which means the battery is expected to provide a range of 2,000 kilometers for electric vehicles.

As additional information, founded in 2018, Talent focused on solid-state lithium batteries and material technology development, and by March 2022 it had received investment from Chinese real estate developer Country Garden.
Talent has developed solid state electrolytes and solid state lithium batteries based on oxide systems, and has completed its technological pathways for a variety of materials as well as semi-dense and solid state batteries.
