2 Students Arrested By Police For Persecution, One Person Is Hunted

JAKARTA - Two Papuan students were arrested by the Polda Metro Jaya team. Both are suspected of being involved in cases of beatings and thefts.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said that the incident took place on January 20. At that time the video of the beatings in front of the MPR / DPR building went viral.

"Had taken his bag and seized the victim's cellphone. Now we are still looking for evidence of cellphones. Hopefully we will find them soon, "Kombes Yusri told reporters, Thursday, March 4.

After the incident the victim reported to the police. Until finally the police arrested two students with the initials RL and K alias FM.

Two people who were successfully secured were detained at Polda Metro Jaya, this is related to the criminal case of assaulting Article 170 and also theft with violence (Article) 365, "he continued.

Apart from the two students, the police are pursuing another suspect. Yusri said the person whose identity had been pocketed was involved in the beatings.

"We have pocketed the name of the one, we are still pursuing it," said Yusri.
