Anticipating Vehicle Buildup, ASDP Implements System Delays Through Buffer Zone
JAKARTA - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has implemented a delay system through the provision of buffer zone points in the rest area. This step is taken in order to support the smooth flow of homecoming and back to Eid 2024 Transportation.
ASDP Commercial and Service Director M. Yusuf Hadi said this step was one of the additional facilities as a critical point in unraveling the flow of vehicles in the port area.
Furthermore, Hadi projects a 15 percent increase in production for passengers and 14 percent for vehicles with total production on 8 national surveillance of 5.78 million passengers and 1.37 million vehicles, ASDP takes anticipatory steps with the implementation of the delaying system.

Meanwhile, the direction of Bakauheni Port includes Rest Areas KM.87B, KM.67B, KM.49B, KM.33B, KM.20B, Arterial Line Gayam, Balai Karantian Agricultural Old Office, RM Gunung Jati, and others.
Hadi also added that for the Ketapang Port direction, there is a buffer zone area at the Sritjung Terminal, Grand Watudol, Areba Football Field, and Ring Road; while for Gilimanuk Port there are Cargo Terminals, Cekik UPPKB, and Bus Terminals; The direction of the Anchor Port includes the Parking Area of the Tebu Farmers Association; and the Direction of Lembar Port, namely the Sigenter Terminal and PDS Parking Parking Field.
Based on data from Wednesday, April 3 at 11.00 WIB, vehicle tickets that have been reserved by service users for the period of the Eid H-1 to D-7 Command Post at Merak, Bakauheni, Ketapang, and Gilimanuk Crossing Ports and Ciwan and Ciwanand Assistance Port are 35,355 or equal to 7.9 percent of the total available reservation quota.

As for the period 1 to 30 March 2024 or the Pre-Angkutan period of Eid, the total ticket for vehicles sold at the four main ports was 652,118 tickets sold.
From the reservation data, continued Hadi, it is estimated that the peak of the homecoming flow will occur on April 6, 2024 (D-4) with the number of service users who have reservations for Merak Port as many as 3,124 tickets or equivalent to 15 percent of the reservation quota that has been opened.
For smooth travel, said Hadi, especially on the Merak-Bakauheni and Ketapang-Gilimanuk routes, ASDP requires service users to buy tickets online via Ferizy before departure.
"This is for the sake of smoothness and comfort during the crossing, make sure service users have a maximum H-1 flight ticket," said Hadi.
