Jokowi Accused Of Hasto Wanting To Take Chairman Chair From Megawati, PDIP: We Have Rules
Chairman of the PDIP DPP Andreas Hugo Pareira opened his voice about the statement by the PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto who said that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had made an attempt to take over the position of chairman of the PDIP.
According to Andreas, as a person close to PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri, Hasto certainly knows things related to internal and external events of the party. Even internationally.
"I think the Secretary General understands various information so he needs to convey perhaps there are efforts. So maybe Mr. Jokowi will take the position of chairman," said Andreas, Wednesday, April 3.
However, Andreas emphasized that PDIP has rules regarding the election of the general chairman. "But I think as PDIP cadres we have rules and I know the ketum," he continued.
Andreas emphasized that the general chairman of the PDIP was decided through the party congress. Including Megawati, he said, was also elected through the party mechanism.
"PDIP is Mrs. Megawati, we chose her at the congress, we supported her at the party congress and the decision to become a chairman was the decision of the party congress," he said.

"Of course it is his (Jokowi) right to express his opinion that he wants to be the chairman of any party, please, his rights," added the member of Commission X of the DPR.
