Founder Of Pro KLB Democrats Ready To Debate Explain Party History
JAKARTA - The chaos of the Democratic Party has escalated to historical issues after the initiator of the Extraordinary Congress (KLB) said Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) was not the founder of the party.
The problem with SBY not being a party founder then worsened the conflict within the Democratic Party (PD). The pros and cons of KLB argued about SBY's contribution to the formation of the party bearing the mercy logo.
One of the founders of PD Hencky Luntung stated that he was ready to have an open debate with anyone regarding the history of the party's founding.
"Ready to have an open debate with anyone, and include evidence and living witnesses", said Hencky, Thursday, March 4.
Hencky mentioned the visit of PD General Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) to the residence of one of the founders of the Democrats, Professor Subur Budhisantoso, on Tuesday, March 2. According to him, there is no need to go to senior party figures to gain support.
As a person who claims to be close, Hencky said that Prof. Subur must have been very wise in responding to conflicts within the party.
"Don't bring up his name anymore, just because he is looking for political support from the founders of the party. I think this is his moral message as a parent, friend, and teacher", explained Hencky.
Previously, it was said that SBY was not the founder of the party. Jhoni Allen Marbun said that SBY only contributed IDR 100 million in the 2004 elections. SBY's name was also said to be not included in the list of 99 founders of the Democratic party.
