The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) EMPHASIZED That It Did Not Find Evidence Of The Witness's Rice Prosecutor Up To IDR 3 Billion

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has followed up on allegations of extortion against witnesses by the prosecutor with the initials TIN. However, there was no evidence of the alleged fraudulent practice.

"So far, the KPK has found no preliminary evidence of any alleged violations," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, April 3.

Ali ensured that the search for initial information, including tracing and examining the TIN prosecutor on duty at the anti-corruption commission had been carried out. In fact, they have asked for transaction data from the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).

"And so far there have been no suspicious transactions," he said.

However, the anti-corruption commission will examine the State Administrators' wealth report (LHKPN) belonging to TIN. Ali called this effort proof of his institution following up on every report of alleged corruption that came in.

Later, the TIN that has been returned to the Attorney General's Office (AGO) will be summoned. "It will be scheduled later," he said.

The anti-corruption commission asked the public to continue to monitor the process of investigating this alleged extortion. In addition, Ali also advised all parties to be vigilant with various modes of fraud on behalf of the KPK.

"If you know of this crime, the public can report it to call center 198, public complaint channels, and the KPK Supervisory Board," said Ali.

As previously reported, KPK Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata said TIN had been clarified after the issue of extortion of witnesses. As a result, the Rp3 billion which became a polemic was claimed to be the result of selling property.

"It has been clarified and the person concerned said this money was the result of the sale of his house," Alexander told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, April 2.

Alexander explained that so far no party has complained about the giving of TIN which has been returned to the Attorney General's Office. However, the KPK will again clarify by looking at the state administrators' assets reports (LHKPN).

"From the LHKPN, he will ask for transaction data in the banking sector, right, that's all at the KPK. He gave the KPK the power to open his account, his family, his wife, children like that," he said.
