157 Thousand Passengers Flocked Bali Ngurah Rai Airport In February 2021
JAKARTA - I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali serves as many as 157,172 passengers who are transported by 2,340 aircraft during the period of February 2021.
"We recorded that the highest number of passengers in February 2021 was during the Chinese New Year on February 11-14", said General Manager of the branch office of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) International Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Bali, Herry AY Sikado in his statement in Badung Regency, Bali, quoted from Antara, Thursday, March 4.
At the moment of the Chinese New Year for four days, February 11-14, 2021, 13,660 domestic passengers were entering Bali with a record of 187 aircraft movements.
Meanwhile, 12,576 passengers were departing from Bali Airport who took 185 airplanes. In total, during the Lunar New Year holiday period, there were 26,236 passengers and 372 airplanes served at the airport.
Herry AY Sikado explained, during the first two months of 2021, Ngurah Rai Airport had served 369,569 passengers and 5,915 airplanes. This number has decreased when compared to the same month period in 2020 with 3,681,385 passengers served and a total of 25,366 aircraft movements.
"From the January-February 2021 data, we noted that there was a decrease in passenger and aircraft movement, passenger and aircraft movements, respectively, which decreased by 89 percent and 76 percent when compared to data in January-February 2020", he said.
He added that during the COVID-19 pandemic, many sectors were affected, including the world of aviation, which resulted in a decrease in the number of passengers. Even so, his party remains committed to providing the best service for airport service users.
