Garuda Indonesia Boss Sets Target To Enter Holding InJourney October 2024
JAKARTA - Garuda Indonesia President Director Irfan Setiaputra opened his mood regarding the plan to join the Aviation and Tourism BUMN Holding ecosystem, InJourney.
Irfan hopes that the Garuda process to enter the InJourney ecosystem can be completed in the near future. In fact, he targets to be able to join InJourney in October 2024.
"The target is this year. October," he said in a media briefing in Jakarta, Monday, April 1.
Irfan believes that joining Garuda Indonesia in the InJourney ecosystem will have a positive impact on BUMN aviation. Including, the expected financial performance can be much better.
"The financial impact should be much better, more efficient the work of aviation-based companies," he explained.
Even so, Irfan said that the joining of Garuda Indonesia to InJourney still takes time. The reason is, there are still some requirements that must be met.
"But this merger process still takes time. It is hoped that it can be completed as soon as possible, but there are many requirements that we must fulfill," he said.
Previously reported, Previously it was reported that the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir targeted PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or Garuda to join PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJorney before October 2024.

Erick said that the plan to include Garuda in the InJourney ecosystem is still being discussed. Later, if this plan is realized, Garuda will become a subsidiary of InJourney.
The plan to merge Garuda to InJourney is in line with the company's improving finances after the restructuring or restructuring stage is carried out.
