JAKARTA - The Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, is monitoring the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination for the elderly at RSJD Surakarta Hospital. From his observations, he saw that the people of Solo were enthusiastic about receiving vaccines in order to cut off the transmission of the virus in the community.

"Following up on the vaccination at RSJD Surakarta, I met many elderly people who were queuing orderly on spaced chairs. Alhamdulillah, residents are enthusiastic about receiving vaccines", said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) 's eldest son, as quoted by VOI from his upload, Thursday, March 4.

He said the government was serious in dealing with the pandemic which was a global problem. It's just that this seriousness requires good support and cooperation between residents.

Gibran also reminded the public not to be afraid and be swallowed up by hoax issues about vaccination. Moreover, since he served as Mayor of Solo, he has often visited the location of the COVID-19 vaccine and so far, no one has been sick after being injected.

"This vaccine is safe and lawful. So there is no need to be afraid", he said.
