Bromo Tourism Closed Total April 4-5 And April 25-26 For Kawsan Cleaning
The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park Center (BB TNBTS) has closed total tourist access in the Mount Bromo area, East Java to clean up the area.
Head of Administration Section of the TNBTS Center Septi Eka Wardhani said the closure of the Bromo area was carried out twice in the April 2024 period.
"The closure is in order to clean up the Bromo area," Septi said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 1.
Septi explained that the closing of the first period was carried out on April 4 from 00.01 WIB to April 5, 2024 at 23.59 WIB. Then, the second period was carried out from 00.01 WIB April 25 to April 26, 2024 at 23.59 WIB.
The closure of the tourist area of Mount Bromo, he continued, was stated in letter Number: PG.3/T.8/BIDTEK/KSA.5.1/B/03/2024. The closure to the cleaning of the area is an agreement in a coordination meeting with stakeholders.
"The closure is based on a mutual agreement in a coordination meeting held on March 28, 2024," he said.
He added that the closure of Mount Bromo tourist access from the Probolinggo Regency area was carried out from the Cemorolawang entrance. Meanwhile, from the direction of Pasuruan Regency, access is closed from the Dingklik area.
"Untuk pintu masuk dari arah Kabupaten Malang dan Kabupaten Lumajang, ditutup di wilayah Jemplang," katanya.
The activity of cleaning the area, he continued, in addition to deploying personnel from the TNBTS Center, also involved other partners managing the area such as the surrounding community, Palang community, street vendors (PKL) and others.
"In addition to our personnel, we also cooperate with partners such as the surrounding community, paguyuban jiki, street vendors and others," he said.
Based on records from the TNBTS Center, the number of tourist visits at one of the main tourist destinations in East Java throughout 2023 reached 368,507 people, which are divided into domestic and foreign tourists.
This number is divided into 355,297 domestic tourists and 13,210 foreign tourists. The visit also provided Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) worth Rp. 14,70 billion.
