Seven Teenagers In Brawl Arrested By Police While Raising Gangster Flags

East Jakarta Metro Police arrested 7 teenagers who were indicated to have fought in the Cipayung area, East Jakarta on Sunday, March 31.

"Sebanyak 7 orang anak remaja diamankan membawa 5 bendera berukuran besar dengan bertulang masing-masing dari kelompoknya," kata Kapolres Metro Jakarta Timur, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly saat dikonfirmasi.

After being secured, these seven people were trained and further examination was carried out at the Cipayung Police Headquarters.

The perpetrators indicated that the brawl was secured with the aim of preventing criminal acts and other kamtibmas disturbances that could disrupt the conduciveness of the kamtibmas and provide a sense of security and comfort for the community.

Kombes Nicolas appealed to the public to protect Kamtibmas by not doing brawls and illegal racing by not setting off firecrackers and not doing sahur on the SOTR road.

"In accordance with the announcement of the Metro Jaya Police Chief to the public. So that the public obeys the announcement from the Metro Jaya Police Chief," he said.

If an act is found that is contrary to this notice, members of Polda Metro Jaya can take police action in accordance with the provisions of Article 212 of the Criminal Code Article 216 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code and Article 218 of the Criminal Code.

If in the brawl they are found carrying sharp weapons and firearms or explosives, they will be subject to article number 12 of 1951 emergency law and article 170 of the Criminal Code and Article 351 of the Criminal Code with legal threats.

"Hopefully the people of East Jakarta can heed the announcement of the Metro Jaya Police Chief. The hope is that the announcement can run optimally and the entire community is in synergy with the police," he said.
