Help Solve Poverty, Perhutani Intensify Cheap Basic Food Bazaars During Ramadan
JAKARTA - SOEs engaged in forestry, Perum Perhutani continue to promote poverty alleviation against vulnerable economic communities.
One way to do this is through the cheap basic food bazaar which lasts during Ramadan.
As is known, before Ramadan and approaching Eid al-Fitr, the prices of several food commodities will usually be volatile.
The Semak Ramadan Berkah 2024 program is present through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program which is held simultaneously in five Perhutani work areas with a total of 6,000 cheap food packages.
One of them is like what was carried out at the Purabaya Square Square, Sagaranten, Sukabumi Regency. Where people can buy 1,000 food packages at an affordable price.
"This cheap basic food bazaar event is a form of Perhutani's concern in the context of poverty alleviation in vulnerable economic communities," said Perhutani Finance and Risk Management Director Dewi Fitrianingrum in a statement on Sunday, March 31.
In addition to the cheap market program and the MSME bazaar, continued Dewi, Perhutani also provided basic food assistance to Islamic boarding schools and pine sap eavesdroppers with a total of 84,758 packages spread across the provinces of Banten, West Java, Central Java and East Java.
The cheap food packages sold in the 2024 Ramadan Safari contain 5 kg of rice, 1 liter of oil, and 1 kg of sugar sold at a price of Rp. 70,000 per package.
"In this event Perhutani also collaborated with PT Perusahaan Perdagang Indonesia (PPI) in providing basic necessities," he said.

One of the visitors to the bazaar, Rahmat assessed that the low-cost basic food bazaar was directly felt by the community. Given that the current price of basic necessities has increased.
