On Good Friday, Jasa Marga Recorded 298 Thousand Vehicles Leaving Jabotabek
PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded as many as 298,370 vehicles leaving the Jabotabek area on D-1 until Good Friday 2024 which falls in the period Thursday-Friday (28-29 March 2024).
Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head, Lisye Octaviana said, this figure is the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT towards Merak, Ciawi GT towards Puncak, and Cikampek Utama GT towards Trans Java and Kalihurip Utama GT towards Bandung.
"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 5.25 percent compared to normal traffic," Lisye told the media, Saturday, March 30.
Lisye detailed, for the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek towards three directions, namely the majority of 129,706 vehicles (43.47 percent) heading East or Trans Java and Bandung, 97,131 vehicles heading West (Merak), and 71,533 vehicles heading South (Puncak).
The details of the traffic distribution are as follows:
East Direction
Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 60,370 vehicles, an increase of 10.02 percent from normal traffic.
Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 69,366 vehicles, an increase of 7.40 percent from normal traffic.
The total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs was 129,706 vehicles, an increase of 8.60 percent from normal traffic.
West direction
Traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road was 97,131 vehicles, an increase of 3.10 percent from normal traffic.
South direction
Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 71,533 vehicles, an increase of 2.41 percent from normal traffic.
"Jasa Marga urges road users to anticipate trips before entering the toll road. Ensure that vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, ensure the adequacy of fuel and electronic money balances and comply with signs and directions from officers," concluded Lisye.
