Investigate Violence At The Peak, Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih Sends Investigation Team
Following up on the results of the viral video identification and as a form of law enforcement commitment to acts of violence allegedly committed by TNI soldiers, Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih has dispatched a team to investigate cases of violence that occurred in Puncak Regency, Central Papua.
Kapendam XVII Cenderawasih Lt. Col. Chandra Kurniawan in his statement in Jayapura, Saturday, revealed that the team was led by Dandim 1717/Puncak Lt. Col. Jonathan Nidio Aprimanda. The investigation team of Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih carried out a series of activities in Ilaga District Ilaga and Gome, Gome District, Puncak Regency, Friday, March 29 at 08.00 WIT.
Previously, the investigative team worked and made a lot of progress, including obtaining data and facts as well as good information and after conducting a crime scene at Pos Gome, which was suspected of being a place of violence.
"Data and evidence as well as statements from witnesses have been collected by the investigation team, including information and data from RSUD Ilaga," said Lieutenant Colonel Chandra as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, March 30.
Kapendam admitted that the team will continue to work in the context of law enforcement against acts of violence allegedly committed by TNI soldiers, coordinating with the Puncak Police and Gome District officials to present victim witnesses.

The team together with representatives of the Puncak Regional Government also held a meeting with representatives of the families of the victim's witnesses which went well and harmoniously.
"Please pray that the team can carry out investigations quickly, smoothly and safely, so that this incident is revealed for the purposes of the law enforcement process," said Kapendam. The victim of violence that went viral on social media and was allegedly carried out by members of Infantry Battalion 300/Bjw was reportedly named Warinus Murib who was a member of the KKB in the Puncak area and was involved in a number of armed violence.
Warinus Murib was handed over to the Puncak Police along with two colleagues by members of Infantry Battalion 300/Bjw, but due to his condition, he was immediately taken to Ilaga Hospital and died in February.
