Five Years Online SPT Registration, Jokowi: Very Easy!

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reports the Annual Income Tax Return (SPT) online or online through the e-filing application from the Merdeka Palace. According to him, this application made him not have to visit the tax office.

For your information, e-filing is a way of submitting SPT online that can be done from anywhere and anytime as long as it is connected to the internet network. This makes it easier for taxpayers (WP) because they don't need to leave the house to go to the tax office.

"Today I have reported the annual tax return online via e-fillng. I have been reporting taxes for five years without the need to come to the tax office. It's very easy," said President Jokowi, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat YouTube, Wednesday, March 3.

Jokowi invites taxpayers to immediately report their Annual Income Tax Returns before the predetermined deadline, namely March 31, 2021.

On this occasion, Jokowi also revealed the importance of taxes paid by the public. He said the tax would be used as state revenue for various needs. Especially in the recovery program carried out by the government in the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Not only that, said Jokowi, state revenue from taxes is also needed to help people experiencing economic difficulties during the pandemic.

"The taxes we pay are needed to support economic recovery programs, increase people's purchasing power, and restore health, such as vaccinations and social protection during this pandemic," he said.
