Kaltara Police Destroy 1.8 Kilograms Of Crystal Methamphetamine From Malaysia Results Of Disclosure Of 3 Cases
TANJUNG SELOR - Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the North Kalimantan Police (Kaltara), destroyed drugs of class one type of methamphetamine weighing 1.8 kilograms (kg).
The methamphetamine from Malaysia was confiscated from three suspects who were arrested in early March with different cases.
The Head of Public Relations of the North Kalimantan Police, Kombes Budi Rahmat, explained that the suspect with the initials J was arrested by the Narcotics Directorate on Monday, March 4. With evidence of 7 clear plastic packages containing total methamphetamine weighing 8.24 grams.
"Suspect J was arrested at a house in the oil palm plantation area of the Kalamondong area, Sekatak Buji Village, Sekatak District, Bulungan. The suspect's confession was that the crystal methamphetamine would be circulated in an oil palm plantation area in the Kalamondong area, Sekatak Buji Village," said Kombes Budi Rahmat, Wednesday, March 27.
Personnel from the Narcotics Directorate also managed to arrest suspect ARM alias C.
with evidence of 9.54 grams of methamphetamine which is stored in 10 small clear plastic clips.
"The plan is that the methamphetamine suspect will be circulated in the Sekatak District," he explained.
Then, on March 6, 2024, the Narcotics Directorate of the North Kalimantan Police also secured evidence of narcotics of the type of methamphetamine weighing closely 1,871.26 grams or 1.8 kilograms. (kg) confiscated from suspect S Bin M who was arrested at the Hj Putri Harbor, Ring Road Rt. 017, East Nunukan, Nunukan Regency.
"The mode of operation of suspect S Bin M, Narcotics type methamphetamine was packaged in piles of kilometries and brought from Tawau, Malaysia with the final destination to Parepare, South Sulawesi through Nunukan Regency," said Budi.
The three cases and suspects are suspected of Article 114 Paragraph (2) Subs Article 112 Paragraph (2) RI Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum penalty of 5 years, and a maximum of 20 years or the death penalty.
"The Kaltara Police continue to be committed to fighting drugs by narrowing the space for drug trafficking, especially in the jurisdiction of the North Kalimantan Police," he concluded.
