Bareskrim Polri Calls Students Victims Of TIP Internship Mode To Germany Used As Coolers
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police said that the suspects in the criminal case of trafficking in persons (TPPO) in the ferryjob mode to Germany had explored the victims. This is because the deceived students are employed as coolers.
"What we get information about, they are lifters, the language is in Indonesia as a coolie," said the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro to reporters, Wednesday, March 27.
In addition, the internship program carried out by the victims did not match the promised. In fact, it is different from the student major.
"Meanwhile, what we connected from the investigation process that we got, they were electrical students but were employed there as lifters, pelvics like that," he said.
"So he was hired in a position that is indeed a heavy worker," continued Djuhandhani.
In the internship mode, the students are also promised to get a salary of Rp. 30 million per month. However, there were no deductions for the cost of living while in Germany.
"Their salary is that they receive a skitar of Rp. 30 million, but there are cuts in lodging and so on, including the costs of daily life whose costs in Germany are quite high," said Djuhandhani.
