Kejari Medan Tetap Eks Treasurer RSUP Adam Malik Tersangka Korupsi

The Medan District Attorney has named former Public Service Treasurer of the Haji Adam Malik Central General Hospital with the initials AD as a suspect in the crime of corruption in financial management for the 2018 fiscal year.

"The modus operandi of the suspect AD is to collect PPh 21, PPh 22 and PPh 23 and VAT for the 2018 fiscal year, but it is not deposited into the state treasury," said Head of the Medan Kejari Muttaqin Harahap as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 27.

In addition, the suspect also did not pay the 12 transactions that had been recorded, paid to the 2018 general treasury agency (BKU) to third parties so that the BLU funds were allegedly used by the suspect AD.

"The suspect's actions resulted in state financial losses of around Rp. 8,059,455,203," he said.

This state financial loss has been audited by the Indonesian Financial Audit Agency Number 06 dated February 16, 2024.

"Therefore, the suspect's actions violated Article 2 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 20 of 2021 concerning amendments or Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code," he said.

"Currently, for the purposes of investigating with the suspect and it is feared that it will damage and destroy evidence, run away and others," said Muttaqin, his party was detained at the Class I Medan State Detention Center (Rutan).

"The detention of the suspect AD will be carried out for the next 20 days from March 27 to April 15," he said.

In this case, investigators have developed and traced the flow of funds that are not closed, it is possible that there will be new suspects.

"The Rp8 billion figure is not a small number, for that we will investigate if other parties enjoy it," said Muttaqqin.
