Yaqut Cholil Called Corruption In The Ministry Of Religion A Dark History, Prepare A Special Strategy So That It Does Not Recur
JAKARTA - The Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas ensures that there is no more corruption in the ministry he leads. This was conveyed after a meeting with a number of leaders and structural officials at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"We don't want to repeat (previous corruption cases, red). So that dark history. We make sure (not repeated, red)," said Minister of Religion Yaqut at the KPK Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, March 3.
Yaqut has prepared a special strategy in preventing corruption within the Ministry of Religion. One of them is by strengthening internal supervision.
"We will enter into the 17 ministries of institutions that have collaborated with the KPK in internal supervision," he said.
Not only that, the Ministry of Religion will also coordinate with the anti-graft commission for monitoring a number of projects.
Then, Yaqut also confirmed that he would channel a criminal complaint that was submitted to his ministry directly to the KPK. "Because in our ministry there are also incoming complaints," he said.
