VIDEO: World's Happyest Country List In 2024

JAKARTA - Indonesia often gets the nickname of a country with friendly residents. Then how much is Indonesia known for its hospitality? Reporting from Gallup World Poll, here are the list of the 20 most happy countries in 2024. Nordic countries again won the highest score as the happiest country. Not to forget Finland, which managed to maintain its top ranking for seven consecutive years. These countries are given ratings based on the evaluation of the average life for the last 3 years, in this context, meaning 2021 to 2023.

The survey asked each participant to assess their overall lives, taking into account what they value. This report discusses six key variables to help explain life evaluations: GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity, and corruption perceptions.

In the United States and Canada, the happiness score of people under 30 years of age is much lower than that of people aged 60 years and over. Australia and New Zealand also have a much lower ranking among the younger generation, but this does not mean a low level of education, income, or poor health. With these data, other positive sides can be taken, namely increasing virtue during the pandemic, especially among the younger generation.

And the following are the 20 happiest countries in the world in 2024, ranked from 20th to 11th place, namely: Great Britain, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Ireland, Belgium, Canada, Austria, Kuwait, Costa Rica, New Zealand. And these are the top 10 most happy countries in the world in 2024, ranked from 10th to first place, namely: Australia, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Norway, Netherlands, Israel, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark and Finland's first place.

Asian countries are not included in the top 20 as a happy country, maybe this is because people in Asian countries often experience pressure about their lives in the future. Maybe this needs to be addressed together, so that we can live a more peaceful and happy life. Watch the video below.
