The Police Vaccinate Its Members, Detainees Still Coordinate

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters (Mabes) held vaccinations for its members to strengthen their immunity from the spread of COVID-19. The vaccination process has been carried out since early March.

"(Vaccination) From March 1, 2021, Monday," said Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Wednesday, March 3.

Ramadhan said that at the beginning of the process the vaccine recipients were high-ranking officers (pati) or generals in all directorates. Then, continued with the middle officer (pamen) or equivalent to the Police Commissioner to the Kombes.

In addition, the vaccination process is also carried out for journalists on duty or covering the National Police Headquarters. Meanwhile, the process of vaccinating prisoners cannot be sure if it will be carried out or not.

The reason is that this matter is still in the coordination stage between the Detention and Evidence Section (Tahati) and the Police Doctor.

"For detainees, the Head of Tahti will first coordinate with the Police Health Center," he said.
