Monday Morning JCI Weakened By 1.6 Percent To 4,827.58 Levels

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) fell again at the opening Monday, March 16. JCI opened down 79.9 points or 1.6 percent to a level of 4,827.58.

At the opening of trading today, there were 30 stocks rose, 189 stocks fell, and 60 stocks were stagnant. Trade transactions reached IDR 363 billion out of 380 million shares traded.

Binaartha Sekuritas analyst M. Nafan Aji Gusta Utama assessed that JCI will move higher today based on its technical analysis.

"This indicates the potential for further strengthening in the JCI movement so that it has the opportunity to go to the nearest resistance level," he said.

JCI will move in the range 5040 to 5,112 with a chance for a support area at the level between 4,860 to 4,640.

This morning the stocks that entered the top gainers, namely shares of PT Makmur Berkah Amanda Tbk (AMAN) rose IDR 51 or 34 percent to IDR 199, shares of PT Metro Healthcare Indonesia Tbk (CARE) rose IDR 21 or 15 percent to IDR 160 and shares of PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA) increased by IDR 9 or 10 percent to IDR 94.

As for the stocks that entered the top losers, among others, the shares of PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) fell IDR 70 or 7 percent to IDR 930, shares of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) fell IDR 230 or 6 percent to IDR 3,160 and shares of PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (SRIL) decreased Rp. 11 or 6 percent to Rp. 154.
