PALANGKA RAYA - The owner of the Galaxy cafe and a number of his employees were questioned by the Palangka Raya Police team, Central Kalimantan. They were examined for suspected violations of the health protocol (prokes).

The boss of the Galaxy Palangka Raya cafe had to deal with the police after the cafe on Jalan Yos Sudarso was reported by the public. The reason was that there was activity violating the prokes at 02.45 WIB, Sunday, February 28 in the morning.

"Initial reports from people who feel uneasy because the cafe turns on very loud music until late at night and there are a number of visitors who consume alcoholic drinks without ignoring the health processes that prevail in the midst of a pandemic like this," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit Palangka Raya Police Commissioner Todoan Agung Gultom, quoted by Antara. , Wednesday, March 3.

The cafe owner and employees told the police that they did not recognize the visitors who drank the liquor.

The cafe also does not serve liquor. There is a strong suspicion that the visitors who came to the cafe brought the liquor from outside.

After undergoing examination by investigators from the Palangka Raya Police Criminal Unit, the cafe owner and his employees made a statement acknowledging that they had violated health protocols.

"They also promised not to repeat the mistake again and were willing to be prosecuted in accordance with the applicable law if they did it again," he said.

Responding to this, the Palangka Raya City COVID-19 Handling Task Force also determined an attitude and coordinated with the internal task force to determine sanctions and actions against the cafe manager.

"Of course there will be sanctions that will be given to the cafe. However, it is all the authority of the local city COVID-19 Handling Task Force team which will impose the sanctions in what form," he said.
