Gang Bikers Who Stabbed Police With Sickles In Menteng Hunted Down

JAKARTA - The Menteng Metro Police Team is hunting for a motorcycle gang member who hacked at the Central Police Service (SPK) officer Aiptu Dwi Handoko.

"The incident was when we were on patrol from Saturday night to early Sunday morning," said Menteng Police Chief AKBP Iver Manossoh as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 3.

The incident started when Menteng Metro Police officers were with the victims of the night patrol. The police tried to disperse the motorized group that was suspected of being involved in the brawl.

Aiptu Dwi was attacked by a member of the motorized group when he was about to disperse the masses. It is estimated that at that time there were 25 motorbikes.

After injuring the officer, the members of the motorized group fled. Meanwhile the police confiscated a sickle from one of the motorized members.

As a result of the attack by the sharp armed perpetrators, Aiptu Dwi was injured in the thumb and is currently undergoing treatment.
