Prosecutor Arrest The Fugitive Breaker Of Pertamina Pension Funds Of IDR 1.4 Trillion
JAKARTA - The AGO's Fugitive Arrest Team, the DKI High Prosecutor's Office, and the Central Jakarta District Prosecutor's Office have arrested a convicted person in the PT Pertamina pension fund (dapen) case worth IDR 1.4 trillion named Bety (43).
"The convict is included in the wanted list (DPO) of the Central Jakarta Prosecutor's Office", said Head of the Legal Information Section of the Jakarta Prosecutor's Office, Ashari Syam, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 3.
Ashari said that Bety was listed as the President Commissioner of PT Sinergi Millenium Sekuritas who was involved in the burglary of PT Pertamina's pension funds.
Bety was declared involved in a criminal case of corruption and money laundering (TPPU) which caused losses to state finances.
Ashari said the AGO team arrested Bety without a fight on Jalan Kemang 1D No.15 B Gang Langgar, Bangka Urban Village, Mampang Prapatan District, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 2 evening.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Central Jakarta Prosecutor's Office, Riono Budisantoso, through the Head of Intelligence of the Central Jakarta Prosecutor's Office, said that the convict would be executed at the Class IIA Women's Prison in Pondok Bambu, East Jakarta.
Based on excerpts from the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 2496 K/Pid.Sus/2020 dated 9 September 2020, Bety was legally and convincingly declared to have committed a criminal act of corruption collectively.
Bety was declared to have violated Article 2 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 Paragraph (1) of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code so that the Supreme Court Panel of Judges sentenced to five years in prison and a fine of IDR 200 million.
If the fine is not paid, then it is replaced by six-month imprisonment. In addition to the basic crime, the convict is also sentenced to an additional penalty in the form of payment of compensation amounting to IDR 777.331.421.
