MK Receives Registration For 264 Disputes On 2024 Election Results
JAKARTA - The Constitutional Court (MK) recorded 264 requests for dispute over the results of the 2024 presidential and legislative elections (PHPU) which were recorded on Sunday, March 24 at 15.10 WIB.
Based on the data, of the 264 applications, 237 of them are direct applications and 27 other online applications. The hundreds of applications consist of 2 presidential/vice-presidential applications, 253 DPR/DPRD PHPU, and 9 DPD applications.
The application submitted by individuals and groups closed on Saturday (23/3/2024), 24.00 WIB, while the dispute over the results of the legislative elections was closed at 22.19 WIB.
"Still continuing to monitor the finalization, registration was just finished earlier. Even though the queue number was taken at the last hour, at 22.19 WIB, but inputted (data) until this morning it was just finished," said Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo at the Constitutional Court building, Jakarta, Sunday.
As the amount of data is still changing according to the entry of the proposal, Suhartoyo predicts that the number of lawsuits for election disputes or PHPU in 2024 will increase compared to PHPU in 2019.
