Swiss Open 2024 Semifinals: Gregoria To Final
JAKARTA - Gregoria Mariska Tunjung managed to lock the ticket to the 2024 Swiss Open final after overthrowing the Japanese women's singles, Nozomi Okuhara.
He beat Nozomi with two straight games, 21-15 and 21-17, while competing in St. Jakobshalle on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
A tight battle took place in the first game. Gregoria was not allowed to take the lead long ago. In fact, there was a strong position eight times before the interval.
Gregoria began to move away after 14-14. He left Nozomi and stopped the opponent's points at 15 before taking the first game.
In the second game, Gregoria appeared more confident. Even though it was tight until the score was 6-6, he was able to maintain the advantage after that until the interval with an 11-9 position.

Nozomi did get closer to 13-15, but Gregoria looked calm and did not panic.
The only Indonesian women's singles at the 2024 Swiss Open finally managed to secure the advantage until they took the second game.
The victory brought Gregoria Mariska Tunjung following Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and Lanny Tri Mayasari/Ribka Sugiarto to the 2024 Swiss Open final.
Gregoria will face the winner between the first seed Carolina Marin (Spain) vs Tomoka Miyazaki (Japan) in the top party.
This means that there are three Indonesian representatives who advance to the 2024 Swiss Open final.
Meanwhile, three other Red-White representatives died in the semifinals. Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin must recognize their compatriot advantage, Bagas/Fikri.
