Had Collapsed Due To Abrasion, Riau Builds Supporting Sungkai Bay Bridge
JAKARTA - The Riau Provincial Government has rebuilt the buffer of the Sungkai Bay bridge in Indragiri Hulu Regency. This after collapsing due to abrasion some time ago so that the road access was cut off.
"The host of the Sungkai Bay bridge has been rebuilt and the transportation access connecting Inhu Regency and Indragiri Hilir Regency is now functioning properly," said Acting Governor Riau SF Hariyanto in a press statement in Pekanbaru, Saturday.
According to SF Hariyanto, the Riau Provincial Government has resources and a fleet that allows to resolve various technical obstacles in the field such as dredged bridge buffers or collapsed roads due to floods and landslides.
Therefore, said SF Hariyanto, the technical team needs to immediately make improvements, according to the spirit of hard work, moving quickly and acting appropriately for public services.
"Access of infrastructure for the cut off community must be immediately improved in order to support local economic growth so that access to transportation plays an important role and various technical problems in the field must be resolved immediately," he said.
Head of UPTJJ Region IV of the Riau Province PUPR-PKPP Service, Ludfi Hardi, said that his party had deployed a fleet and field technical officers to repair the damaged bridge buffers according to the order of the Governor of Riau SF Hariyanto.
He explained that the abrasion that hit the support of the Sungkai Bay Bridge or was on Jalan Rengat Kuala Cenaku Kuala, Indragiri Hulu Regency was a natural symptom.
"However, the problem still has to be resolved even though it is only temporary and after that it will be more refined to be free from the threat of abrasion," said Ludfi.
