Many Fake Accounts, TOTO Warn Fans Not To Be Fooled
JAKARTA - TOTO through its official Instagram account warns fans to be wiser in using social media. The reason is, many fake accounts are on behalf of the personnel.
Greetings to his statement, TOTO said that the personnel did not respond to fans through social media. And if that happens, then the account is a fake account.
Identity impairment has increased to a level that has raised deep concern for all of you who support us. Frankly, it's clear that Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams, David Paich, or any band member DID NOT post a response to your posts online," TOTO wrote in an Instagram post, viewed Friday, March 22.
"Please don't be a victim because you believe that you communicated with us directly. This has become so out of control that crazy people who run mental hospitals, and authorities on Instagram and Facebook in particular don't seem to care," he continued.
After repeated requests to address this very dangerous wave of malicious characters, no response was given.
Seeing the potential for crime that could harm fans, TOTO promised to continue to warn fans to be more careful.
"So, we will continue to post this warning, and hopefully one day those running this platform will respect the well-being of all of you," TOTO wrote.
We respect you, but these people who claim to be us have one intention, steal or even worse. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE.
