Congratulations On Your Phone, Jokowi: Mr. Prabowo Already Knows Which Is Good For This Country

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo admitted that he had congratulated the presidential and vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka by telephone, for winning the 2024 presidential election.

"Oh, I have congratulated Prabowo by telephone," Jokowi told reporters after watching the Indonesian football match against Vietnam at the Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, Thursday, March 21.

When asked if Jokowi had congratulated his son Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who is Prabowo's partner in the 2024 presidential election, Jokowi said, "Kitaucapin selamat. Udah."

Journalists also asked for directions or messages to Prabowo who would replace himself as President.

Jokowi emphasized that Prabowo Subianto already knew which one was good for the country.

"There is no need (to give a message). Pak Prabowo already knows which one is good for this country. I think he already knows," Jokowi explained.
