Budget Telan Rp648 Billion, There Are 24 Roads Inaugurated By Jokowi In West Kalimantan
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono accompanied President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to inaugurate 24 roads handled through the Regional Road Inpres (IJD) in West Kalimantan Province, on Wednesday, March 20.
It is known, the project spent a budget of IDR 648 billion to build a 165 kilometer (km) road.
During the inauguration, Minister Basuki was accompanied by Director General of Highways Hedy Rahadian, Expert Staff of the Minister of PUPR for Technology, Industry and Environment Endra S. Atmawidjaja and Director of Road and Bridge Preservation Region I Nyoman Suaryana.
Director General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR Hedy Rahadian said, in the 2023 fiscal year (TA), his party has allocated a budget of Rp. 14.6 trillion for the implementation of the IJD nationally. The budget is allocated for handling 2,873 km of regional roads throughout Indonesia.

"Currently, the 2023 IJD is already in the era of utilizing the community. The hope is that after this is resolved, connectivity will be better, can reduce the price of goods and make people's products more competitive in the market," said Hedy in a written statement received by VOI, Thursday, March 21.
Meanwhile, the Head of the West Kalimantan Provincial National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) of the Directorate General of Highways Handiyana explained that the implementation of the IJD in West Kalimantan Province in 2023 was spread across 11 districts/cities, namely in Kapuas Hulu, Sintang, Melawi, Sekadau, Sanggau and Ketapang.
Then, there are Kubu Raya, Pontianak City, Mempawah, Singkawang City and Sambas Regency.
"For the 2024 IJD, the regional roads in West Kalimantan Province will be handled. Currently, it is in preparation for implementation. We hope that the completed roads can be useful. So, the movement of people can be easier and smoother," he said.
