Deputy Governor Of Kaltara Commitment To Strengthening Children's Rights Services

TANJUNG SELOR The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara), is committed to reducing the rate of child early marriage and protecting children's rights (Kaltara).

This was stated by Deputy Governor of Kaltara Yansen TP when opening the signing of the Integrity Pact for the Prevention of Child Marriage and Strengthening of Child Rights Fulfillment Services in Tanjung Selor, Bulungan, Wednesday, March 20.

"The state is obliged to fulfill every child's right to survival, growth and development, participate and provide protection from acts of violence and discrimination," said Yansen TP.

The failure of children's rights, continued the Deputy Governor of Kaltara, will reduce the quality of children's lives so that it becomes a problem for parents, families, communities, government and the state.

"To ensure the fulfillment of children's rights, efforts are needed to unite parents' responsibilities and state obligations in helping to overcome family problems, one of which is forming a Family Learning Center (Puspaga)," he explained.

Not only that, the government has also formed a child-friendly playroom (RBRA) and a child-friendly daycare or Taman Asuh Ceria (TARA).

"The program is to make sure the child gets proper custody so that it needs to be formed in all regions," he continued.

Currently, 11 Ministries/Institutions and 44 regions have followed TARA's standardization process, in 2018 there was a standardization of RBRA until now there are 77 children's playrooms with RBRA standards, for North Kalimantan Province only to form 1 Puspaga service.

Therefore, Deputy Governor Yansen asked all elements of the regional apparatus involved in the signing of this integrity pact to continue the task of serving to each region.

"Every institution, government institutions must have a direct and continuous active role that can oversee the growth and development of children in the community, especially in the district/city of the province of Kaltara," he said.
