Deputy Ahmad Ali Pessimistic Of Realized Anklet Rights, Surya Paloh: That's Not NasDem's Attitude
JAKARTA - The General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, responded to the statement by the Deputy Chairperson of NasDem Ahmad Ali who felt that the right of inquiry to investigate allegations of fraud in the 2024 General Election could be realized.
According to Surya, this was Ahmad Ali's personal statement and not on behalf of the party.
"What is certain is that it is not a nasdem attitude. Not yet NasDem's attitude, yes," said Surya after breaking the fast at Jusuf Kalla's residence, Jalan Brawijaya, South Jakarta, Wednesday, March 20.
Previously, Ahmad Ali expressed his doubts that the rights of inquiry that had been discussed by PDIP, NasDem, PKB, and PKS to be proposed in parliament could be rolled out.
"Look. This is my personal view, yes. Not as the vice president of the party. I am pessimistic (the right of inquiry can be realized)," Ahmad Ali told reporters.
In his view, Ahmad Ali said that until now there has been no party faction in parliament that has submitted a proposal for the right of inquiry to the leadership of the DPR.
Then, it is not necessarily the number of members of the DPR who approve the right of inquiry to be carried out to fulfill the quorum in the plenary meeting if it is held.
"Let's talk first, has anyone submitted that? They are testing whether or not the decisions of those present are accepted by 50 percent of the members, how do we test the thesis? Meanwhile, to this day no one has been tested. No one has been tested for this because it's just a discourse," he said.
Since February 22, the NasDem Party, PKB, and PKS have stated that they have joined one carriage to roll out the right of inquiry in the Indonesian House of Representatives to investigate allegations of fraud in the 2024 General Election.
However, the three parties carrying presidential and vice presidential candidates number 1 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar are waiting for the PDI-P (PDIP) to move as an initiator of the proposal for the right of inquiry.
Bearing in mind, the discourse on the right of inquiry was originally put forward by the presidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo, which was promoted by PDIP.
"We are intact, the three parties will be with PDIP and we are waiting for PDIP action as the initiator. The one who initiated this is not just anyone, Ganjar, the best cadre, the biggest party presidential candidate in Indonesia. So we take this seriously," said Secretary General of the NasDem Party Hermawi Taslim in NasDem Tower, Cikini, Central Jakarta, Thursday, February 22.
When PDIP needs assistance in the form of supporting data needed in rolling out the rights of inquiry, NasDem, PKB, and PKS states that they are ready to help provide the data they have.
