Jayapura KPU Members 'Forcibly Picked Up' Because Of Pleno Recapitulation Moror
JAYAPURA - Papua General Election Commission (KPU) chairman Steve Dahn admitted that his party was forced to forcibly pick up the Jayapura City KPU commissioner from one of the hotels where the plenary was held.
"It is true that Tuesday (19/3) in the morning or around 02.30 WIT, upon arrival at the hotel, the Papuan KPU immediately forced the Jayapura City KPU to immediately plenary the district election committee (PPD) of South Jayapura and Abepura Districts," Steve said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 19.
The plenary meeting of the two districts of PPD was held until 07.30 WIT.
After completing the second plenary PPD, the Jayapura City KPU went directly to the location for the Papua Province KPU plenary implementation which was held at a hotel in the Entrop area, South Jayapura District.
The last plenary meeting of the Papuan KPU did schedule the results of the Jayapura City KPU plenary session which must be completed.
The provincial-level plenary results will be brought in a plenary session at the KPU whose deadline is Wednesday (20/3).
"Hopefully the plenary session at the Indonesian KPU is scheduled to end on Wednesday (20/3)," said Papuan KPU chairman Steve
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Adi Prabowo, separately said that the Papuan Police had deployed 350 personnel to secure the implementation of the Papua KPU plenary session.
"Members who were deployed to secure were from Brimob," he said.
