JAKARTA - Committed to creating a trendsetting experience for smartphone photography, Realme introduced a new 108MP camera technology. Introduced at an event titled Realme Camera Innovation Event 2021, this brand-new camera is planned to be used on the Realme 8 series cellphone.
Realme's Camera Development Team, Alessio Bradde explained that this technology is able to produce photos with sharper quality. In addition, the company has also implanted a variety of sophisticated photography features which will certainly spoil fans.
“Such as tilt-shift time-lapse video and starry time-lapse video, which are supported by the latest portrait filters. Realme 8 series will lead in the photography sector thanks to the trendsetting photography it brings, ”explained Alessio Bradde at the event, Tuesday, March 2.
Alessio revealed that this 108 MP camera is a manifestation of Realme's commitment to producing the leading trendsetting experience in smartphone photography for young people. The reason is, this smartphone manufacturer from China realizes that photos and videos are the most important forms of expression for the younger generation.
“Realme realizes the young generation's need for photography. So, we created a distinctive camera system. Starting from the hardware, function, and style. This makes the cellphone camera system preferred by young people, ”said Alessio.
Components of the Realme 108MP CameraTo produce optimal images, Realme uses a variety of sophisticated and brand-new components. This camera system adopts the latest generation Samsung ISOCELL HM2 lens. This lens is capable of producing 12000 x 9000 effective resolution with a larger sensor, which is 1 / 1.52 inch.
“A larger sensor size promises better image quality. Also, the pixel enhancement allows the HM2 sensor to activate the 9-in-1 Pixel Binning technology, ”stated Alessio.
The 9-in-1 Pixel Binning Technology is an image processing technology that is able to combine nine small pixels into one larger pixel. So that the image quality captured in low-light conditions (low-light) can be better.
In addition, the Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor is also supported by Smart-ISO technology. This technology makes the ISOCELL HM2 sensor automatically select the most suitable ISO so that the image quality is optimal while reducing noise.
This means that in low light conditions, Smart-ISO will set the camera with a high ISO. Conversely, the ISO will be set low if the camera is used in an environment with lots of light. The process is done automatically.
