AGO Checks Witnesses Regarding Corruption Suspect Asabri Sonny Widjaja-Hari Setiono

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) is examining seven witnesses to deepen the PT Asabri corruption case. The three witnesses included private parties who were in contact with the two suspects, Lieutenant General (ret) Sonny Widjaja and Hari Setiono.

"SJS and RB as private parties are connected with Sonny Widjaja. Then, SP as private parties are connected to Hari Setiono," said Head of the Attorney General's Legal Information Center, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak in his statement, Tuesday, March 2.

The other four witnesses are directors and employees of several companies. They were examined to look for legal facts and evidence related to the alleged corruption of PT Asabri.

"DH (PT Indopremier Sekuritas Equity Sales), DB (President Director of PT Eureka Prima Jakarta, Tbk), I (Director of PT J Exploration Bahari Utama), and WS (Director of PT Cipta Anugerah Sejati)," he said.

In this case, the Attorney General's Office named nine suspects in the alleged corruption case of PT Asabri.

Two former Directors of PT Asabri who were named as suspects, namely Major General (ret) Adam Rachmat Damiri and Sonny Widjaja. Meanwhile, the other seven suspects are Bachtiar Effendi who is a former finance director of PT Asabri, Heri Setiono as Director of PT Asabri.

Furthermore, Lukman Purnomosidi as Managing Director of PT Prima Network and Jimmy Sutopo who is Director of PT Jakarta Emiten Investor Relations. Finally, Heru Hidayat and Benny Tjokrosaputro or Benny Tjokro.
