Denpasar Police Arrests 40 Drug Case Suspects Within A Month
DENPASAR- Within one month, The Denpasar Police revealed 32 drug cases with 40 suspects who were dealers and users.
"The Denpasar Police Narcotics Task Force (Resnarkoba) Unit carried out the disclosure of narcotics cases that were successfully uncovered by the Narcotics Agency during February 2021", said Denpasar Police Chief Jansen Avitus Panjaitan at the Denpasar Police Headquarters, Bali, Tuesday, March 2.
Meanwhile, the amount of evidence secured was 433.32 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 109.56 grams of marijuana, 278 grains or 87.76 grams of tobacco, 4.26 grams of gorilla tobacco.
"Of the 32 cases, there are 12 cases of large evidentiary items, of which we categorize them as recurrences or perpetrators of a relapse", he added.
Then, for these suspects, out of 40 suspects, 36 were male and 4 female. Meanwhile, the role of suspects 24 were dealers and 16 were users. Meanwhile, there are 5 recidivists.
"So there are a number of drug recurrence or different cases. The motive is that there are parts of syndicates and there are also drug addicts. We are still investigating the origin of the goods and develop the existing evidence", he said.
Meanwhile, the articles imposed on the suspects are Article 111 paragraph (1) of the RI Law. 35/2009 concerning narcotics, with the threat of imprisonment for a minimum of 4 years at most 12 years and a fine of at least IDR 800 million and a maximum of IDR 8 billion.
"The Denpasar Police Narcotics Task Force Unit managed to save 20 thousand young people from the dangers of narcotics. Bali must be clean of drugs so we must continue to fight against drugs", said Jansen.
