Beware Of Three Congestion Points For The 2024 Eid Homecoming Route, Minister Of Transportation Budi: Cipali, Merak And Ketapang
Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi revealed that there are three congestion points for the Lebaran 2024 homecoming route.
The three points of congestion are the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) toll road section, Merak Port to Ketapang Port.
"We do observe or map the possibility of traffic jams in three places. First in Cipali, because there are several sections that are shrinking. Then in Merak there will be queues and another in Ketapang," he said in a virtual press conference, Sunday, March 17.
Budi said that his party had also determined the potential for density in the sea lanes. Among them are in the areas of Medan, Batam, Samarinda and South Sulawesi.
"And in the air usually those who have to concentrate on Soetta (Soekarno-Hatta International Airport) and in Bali (I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport)," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the National Police, Brigadier General Aan Suhanan, said that the congestion point on the Cipali Toll Road occurred along with the operation of the Cisumdawu Toll Road.
Furthermore, Aan explained that there will be a meeting point from the Cipali Toll Road and the Cisamdawu Toll Road for travelers heading to Java from Bandung.
There is a meeting point from Cisumdawu and Cipali this will be a bottleneck. We have managed this, there is an additional length of signs there along 1 km. This is to meet at the meeting between Cipali and Cisumdawu, there will be no slowdown and congestion," he explained.

In addition, Aan also said that there will also be traffic jams in various rest areas, such as at KM 87.
And there will be a congestion point in the toll road u-turn area which will be affected by one-way or one-way policies.
"And u-turns that are often impatient people will jump from path A to lane B when one way is applied," he said.
Aan also said that for arterial routes such as Pantura which became a understanding, it was a level crossing route due to bad treatment.
"So for the jammed point in the arteries, this Pantura, the level of the track is still a bad point or a slowdown. Then we are still mapping this spilled market," he explained.
