3 U-20 National Team Aboard Players Make Indra Sjafri Satisfied

JAKARTA Three of the five aboard players who were called in the Indonesian U-20 national team squad (Timnas) showed a performance that satisfied coach Indra Sjafri.

The U-20 Indonesian national team is currently undergoing a training camp in Jakarta. This is a preparation for the trial against the U-20 China national team on March 22 and 25.

The three names of the aboard players who have joined are Marselinus Ama Ola (UD Logrones), Eros Dermawan (UD Logrones), and Dillan Yabran (SV Bergisch Cladbach).

"For the time being, especially the players from Spain, there is Eros (Dammawan), there is Marselinus (Ama Ola), we are quite satisfied. Then, some are from Germany, Dillan (Yabran), we are also quite satisfied," said Indra.

Even though it is satisfactory, the development of names will continue to be monitored. Their abilities will be seen in the two test matches against China later.

The results of the trial will be a parameter for Indra Sjafri to make a choice to form the U-20 Indonesian national team, a squad that will be prepared for the 2024 AFF U-20 Cup and the 2025 AFC U-20 Cup Qualification.

Indra said that the players he is currently calling are the best talents. However, this squad will definitely be accompanied according to parameters and needs.

"But, it's not that easy for us to see players, and we need to do test parameters so that when I'm asked why he wasn't selected or selected, the answer is through the data," he said.

The other two aboard players who have not joined are Welber Jardim (Sao Paulo) and Chow Yun Damanik (Lausanne Sport). Welfer will arrive tonight, while Chow will arrive on March 27.
