Integrate AI, Zurich Increase Insurance Services
JAKARTA - PT Zurich Asuransi Indonesia Tbk optimizes the integration of artificial intelligence (AI). This is to improve insurance services for customers.
"We continue to develop the use of technology, including optimizing opportunities through AI technology," said Chief Risk Officer of PT Zurich Asuransi Indonesia Tbk Wayan Pariama quoting Antara.
He cited a Global Risk 2024 report, developed by the World Economic Forum in collaboration with Zurich and Marsh McLennan, that AI ranks first as the most worrying aspect in the next two years.
These concerns arise because of the increasing creation of AI content that is difficult to distinguish from human content, thus creating serious challenges in revealing and responding to inaccurate or misleading information (misinformation and disinformation).
However, Chairman of the Indonesia AI Society and Associate Professor of the Indonesian Catholic University Atma Jaya Jakarta Lukas believes that concerns about the effective use of AI technology can be overcome through strategic integration.
According to him, the potential of AI technology can encourage transformation in the industry and become a partner in collaborating innovation with risk management.

On that basis, Zurich Indonesia uses AI in services for customers, such as in the process of acquiring vehicle insurance.
"To provide more accurate examination reports that allow us to provide appropriate, faster, more accurate, and minimize the mistakes caused by humans," Wayan said.
